Mel stared at the the back of Other Mother then before saying anything though before she could even say a word, the Other mother stood up from where she was sitting. Being rarther careful not to wake coraline up after getting up she
turned round to face Mel; there was a awkward silence between the two of them but soon Mel broke the silence..very hesitantly " W-wheres My Daughter?! " she said gulping, she couldnt help but stare deep in those black button eyes
as she spoke. " you mean...my daughter?..." replied other mother sharply with a slight tone warning mel to back off " shes here..with me..happily content with her life here.." she added, Mel felt tense at the moment but retaliated with a fierce growl.

" T-Thats my d-daughter you have there and ive come to bring her back home " Mel spoke bravely though only recieved a evil chuckle from the other mother. " Oh really?..NO one will take her from me...not even you.." other mother snarled as she said that, Mels eye twitched in annoyance and walked to the side from a distance fair distance away from Other Mother, she stopped once she could see her daughter laying asleep on the bed though looked in pure horror as she saw that her daughter had buttons for eyes.

Mel's face went pale then and was begining to shake " w-w-what have you done to her?..." she choked out barely " What have you done to my child!!..." she added
by advancing quickly towards coraline but Other Mother stood infront of her quickly, being very protective, This had made Mel take a few quick steps back incase Other mother swipped at her.

" Shes fine....were both fine..now leave us! " Other mother said by snapping at her although Mel retaliated again " shes not okay! You sowed buttons on her eyes and i wont leave until i have my daughter back in my arms " Mel said franticly and lunges at Other mother by pushing her to the side, Mel quickly picked Coraline up and ran for the front door though as other mother was pushed away she still lunges an attempt to swipe at her but missed by a inch. Mel bursted through the front door and into the petrified garden; she ran over the bridge and stopped by the tree to take in her surroundings.

" My god...everythings...petrified.." she said looking round and then down at her daughter " oh honey..., I carnt believe this is happening..I hope your eyes are alright under there.." she added worriedly and placed a finger on one of coraline's button eyes. Other Mother had headed out to the porch at front, one touch and the hole garden and outside grounds returned to its original colour that it was to impress coraline. Other Mother growled in anger " how dare you...steal her away from me..." she claps her hands twice up in the air as if she was calling something.

" bring me my daughter..and whilse your at it..destory the imposter " she called. Mel heard the other mother and scowled at her though looked round gulping and holding her only child close to her, it was silent until there was a eerie machanical noise; Two sharp arms blasted from the small little pond and hooked onto the ground, the machanical mantis tractor pulled itself out of the pond making its eerie sounds, its eye like lights flickerd and went off yet it still moved magicly as it started to make its way toward Mel.

Mel gulped and started to carry coraline again an began to move away from the tree, backing away slowly but as she did the mantis tractor rolled it's way over to mel in a lunge like action, it used its claws to swipe at mel as she began to run
away from it. As Mel ran round in a circle and back near the bridge the mantis gave a last lunge and managed to swipe at her backside making her fall forward near the edge of the pond; Coraline on the other hand rolled out of mel's arms yet
safely to the side, groaning slightly and moving abit.

The Mantis Tractor rolled infront of coraline and picked her up with its small grabber like mouth by the collar of her orange pyjama's; The Mantis looked down on mel and made a mechanical snort like noise and then made its way over the bridge. The Other Mother waited and smiled in triumph as the mantis brought her
Coraline, Mel had slowly sat up and lifted her head up looking over seeing the other mother now cradling her daughter, mel's heart ached and she began to feel quite distraught without her coraline in her arms.

Coraline was now awake in other mothers arms even though it was hard to tell, she looked at mel as other mother walked over to her. " Coraline....Im sorry..." she said distantly as Other mother stopped infront of her " Sorry isnt good enough...you failed...now im her mother" replied other mother strictly " and too make sure you dont interfere any more..." she lifted her free arm , cracking
her fingers abit as she moved them " i'll turn you into the animal you are..." other mother finished, mel's eyes widdened as Other mother murmured a few words and whisked her hand around placing a spell on Mel..turning her into a lion..and quite painfully too as she did Other Mother walked away and chuckled. Mel was now a pale skinned lionness having laid flat out and whimpering as she was still in pain, her eyes weld up in tears.
